Well, I drank the cool aid.
This weekend I became the proud new owner of a bouncing baby iPhone.
With the Canadian dollar at par, the recent price drop by Apple and successful unlocking hacks to allow it work on Rogers GSM network I figured it would be a nice way to end my year long binge on Apple products.
Unlocking took about an hour from start to finish and the phone works surprisingly well on Rogers!
I won’t hold my breath for Rogers to announce the iPhone in Canada since that would mean that they would have to submit to Apple’s demands for unlimited data plans, no carrier branding and not to mention a big slice of subscriber revenues…
